Supporting Children & Families since 2019

OUR STORY

Safer Spaces was established in 2019 and has been slowly growing a client base. We are currently based in Melbourne (Naarm), Victoria, and do outreach to homes, community, and educational settings.

In early 2026 we became an NDIS Registered Provider.

OUR VISION

Our vision is to provide quality and holistic Allied Health services to children 0-16, their families, carers and educators – in home, in community – where you need it most. We support children of all abilities, with a neuro-affirming, strength informed approach for neuro-spicy folk. We believe that community and shared experience are by far the most valuable support we can provide access to. Our supports in therapy are play-based and interest based, providing opportunity to build and share within the community space for all’s benefit and growth.

OUR BELIEFS & PHILOSOPHY

Through treating each child as an individual and an expert in being themselves we can best assess and understand the troubles and difficulties they individually face. This trans-diagnostic approach to understanding the holistic child and shaping education and learning to account for this, is hugely important. To have this understanding and treat the child accordingly is what is needed to best create and perpetuate success for the child in their learning journey.

CHILD SAFE PRINCIPLES

Safer Spaces is committed to being a child safe, child friendly and child empowering business. Safer Spaces are committed to the cultural safety of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children; those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds; those with a disability; Neurodivergent people and those who identify as LGBTQIA+.

The care, the safety and the welfare of children and young people are embedded in policies and practices which reflect a commitment to zero tolerance of child abuse.
Our staff are comprehensively interviewed and reference checked before coming on board. All our therapists hold an NDIS screening, Police check, Working with Children check, and are vaccinated against Covid-19.
